Job Description

  • Provide advanced technical consultation and onsite support for semiconductor handling, probing, and thermal solutions.
  • Manage and resolve product escalation issues to minimise customer production downtime.
  • Collaborate with field service, R&D, and global engineering teams to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Monitor failure trends and analyse technical data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) evaluations, including planning, preparation, execution, and reporting.
  • Compile evaluation results and provide technical feedback to R&D teams.
  • Drive solution enhancements focused on throughput, stability, thermal performance, and production readiness.
  • Track and manage product safety initiatives, including RFI, FCO, and ANZEN activities.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment through training and compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct technical knowledge transfer sessions for field service engineers and customers.
  • Deliver workshops, troubleshooting training, and train-the-trainer programmes.
  • Support critical customer projects requiring travel, extended working hours, and weekend support when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Technical Support Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor package handling, wafer probing, thermal technologies, or automation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage technical escalations in a customer-facing environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and technical knowledge sharing.
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice and support urgent customer requirements.
