Job Description

  • Design, implement, and oversee IBM STaaS and BaaS solutions.
  • Administer and fine-tune DAS, NAS, SAN, and cloud-based block storage systems.
  • Create and execute strategies for backup and disaster recovery.
  • Monitor storage performance and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Plan for capacity and anticipate future storage requirements.
  • Ensure data protection and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Work closely with IT and infrastructure teams to support operations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of storage setups and processes.
  • Keep informed about new and emerging storage technologies.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to team members.



The Successful Applicant

  • Demonstrated experience with IBM storage technologies, including STaaS and BaaS.
  • Strong understanding of DAS, NAS, SAN, and cloud block storage architectures.
  • Knowledge of Isilon backup and Zadara Cloud solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with backup and recovery systems and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with tools for storage monitoring and management.
  • Solid grasp of data security principles and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in documentation.
  • Relevant certifications in storage technologies are an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
