Job Description

  • Lead the end-to-end setup of utilities systems for a new manufacturing plant, including energy, water, and HVAC
  • Manage the operation, maintenance, and optimization of all utilities infrastructure
  • Drive project management activities related to utilities during plant construction and commissioning
  • Develop strategies to improve efficiency, sustainability, and cost effectiveness of utilities operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and leadership teams to support plant readiness and operations
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders during project and operational phases
  • Establish processes, standards, and documentation for utilities management
  • Act as a key advisor to leadership, providing insights and recommendations in a startup environment

The Successful Applicant

A successful Utilities Manager should have:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in utilities management within manufacturing or FMCG environments
  • Strong project management experience, ideally supporting greenfield or brownfield plant setups
  • Solid knowledge of energy systems, sustainability, and utilities optimization
  • Experience working in fast-paced or startup-like environments, with a consultative and hands-on approach
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
  • A track record of delivering large-scale projects and driving operational improvements
  • A desire to make a lasting impact and help build a facility from the ground up
