Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Architecture & Design

  • Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture frameworks aligned with business and regulatory requirements (e.g., BSP Circulars, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Design secure network, application, and cloud architectures in collaboration with infrastructure and development teams.
  • Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews for critical banking applications and systems.



Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure all security designs comply with BSP regulations (e.g., Circular 982, 1019, 1140), as well as global standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53).
  • Work closely with the IT Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to support assessments and audits.



Security Strategy & Roadmap

  • Drive the development of the bank's cybersecurity architecture roadmap and contribute to the overall cybersecurity strategy.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies, tools, and practices to strengthen the bank's security posture.



Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a key advisor to IT leadership, project managers, and business units on cybersecurity and architecture-related matters.
  • Engage with vendors and third-party providers to ensure adherence to security controls and data protection requirements.



Incident Management & Response

  • Provide expert guidance during security incidents, especially those involving architectural or design flaws.
  • Review lessons learned from incidents and update architectural policies and controls accordingly.



The Successful Applicant

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.



Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a security architecture or enterprise security engineering role.
  • Must have banking, financial services, or fintech industry experience.
  • Solid understanding and practical application of BSP cybersecurity guidelines, risk management standards, and regulatory compliance.



Certifications (Required at least one, preferably more):

  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • Certified Information Security Architect (CISA-Arch)
  • CISM, CISA, or CRISC
  • Cloud certifications



Technical Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of security architecture frameworks (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF, Zero Trust Architecture).
  • Strong background in infrastructure, application, and cloud security (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, IAM, PAM, and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, secure SDLC, and container security.



Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to translate complex technical requirements into business language and vice versa.
