Job Description

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Data Center Design and Construction Head will provide strategic leadership across the full data center development lifecycle-concept, design, construction, and handover-ensuring alignment with business growth objectives and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute data center design and construction strategy aligned to growth plans
  • Build 3-5 year roadmaps for capacity expansion, site development, and infrastructure investment
  • Provide executive oversight for large-scale construction programs, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
  • Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and global data center standards; manage project risk and compliance
  • Lead cross-functional stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and vendors to drive project outcomes
  • Establish governance, reporting cadence, and decision frameworks for senior stakeholders
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, architects, and construction professionals
  • Contribute at an executive leadership level with a strong commercial and growth mindset

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Center Design and Construction Head should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; MBA/Master's preferred
  • 15+ years experience in data center design and construction, including 5+ years in senior/executive leadership
  • Strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure (MEP, civil/structural, commissioning exposure preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder construction projects from inception to completion
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and industry standards for mission-critical facilities
  • A highly strategic profile-proven capability to create roadmaps, influence executives, and scale platforms
  • Strong commercial mindset and track record in supporting business growth outcomes
  • Preferably regional/global experience and prior leadership exposure at ManCom / executive committee level
