Job Description

  • Lead the strategy, design, and implementation of enterprise data platforms and medallion architecture.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of efficient data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Ensure robust data governance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Optimize the performance and scalability of cloud data platforms and SQL-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering initiatives with business goals.
  • Provide technical leadership in enterprise data modeling and performance tuning.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in data engineering practices.
  • Mentor and lead a team of data engineers to achieve operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Executive Director of Data Platform and Engineering should have:

  • Strong expertise in data engineering, enterprise data modeling, and medallion architecture.
  • Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance and performance tuning.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
  • Experience working in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry is an advantage.
