The Finance Director, External Reporting and Statutory Compliance will lead external reporting, governance, and statutory compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance. The role is responsible for driving process improvements, managing key stakeholder relationships, and leading a team of approximately 50 finance professionals.

Job Description

  • Lead external reporting, governance, and statutory compliance activities across multiple countries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, statutory filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee accounting balances, reconciliations, and statutory audit activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison for auditors and key external stakeholders.
  • Drive governance, risk management, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on compliance implications.
  • Support system integrations, process migrations, and finance transformation projects.
  • Manage escalations and ensure effective stakeholder communication and issue resolution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 50 to 60 professionals.
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and service excellence initiatives across the function.

The Successful Applicant

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in statutory compliance, controllership, or a related finance leadership role within a multinational shared service, global business service, or center of excellence.
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm is highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience managing and developing large teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
