The Financial Data & Insights Analyst is responsible for analyzing large financial datasets, forecasting revenue trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role combines data modeling, payer reimbursement analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and optimize financial performance.

Job Description

  • Collect, organize, and validate large datasets to compare expected versus actual payments.
  • Develop and maintain payer analysis reports using internal financial data and market benchmarks.
  • Prepare monthly revenue summaries, identify key drivers, and escalate anomalies to leadership.
  • Analyze patterns to support accurate revenue forecasting and collaborate with stakeholders to refine projections.
  • Organize and interpret service line and payer-specific performance data to guide strategic decisions.
  • Ensure data integrity by managing transfer processes and validating accuracy across systems.
  • Partner with internal teams to create models for payer negotiations, including assumptions for escalators and carve-outs.
  • Contribute to the development of contract modeling tools and present insights to finance and strategy leaders in a clear, actionable format.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Health Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in healthcare or managed care.
  • Familiarity with payer reimbursement methodologies (DRG, APC, fee schedules, value-based models).
  • Strong skills in data modeling, forecasting, and financial systems (EPSi, Strata, Epic, Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
