Job Description

Key Responsibilities of the General Ledger Accountant

  • Prepare and post journal entries including accruals and adjustments
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Handle fixed assets, depreciation, and leasing accounts
  • Conduct variance analysis and financial reporting
  • Support VAT, tax compliance, and audits
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and controls

The Successful Applicant

Successful Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of General Ledger experience
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, reconciliations, analysis)
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Knowledge of IFRS and multinational environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
