Job Description

  • Lead the national General Trade (GT) channel strategy and execution through a primary distributor and sub-distributor network
  • Drive achievement of sales targets (sell-in, sell-out, and profitability metrics) and manage forecasting processes
  • Develop and implement cost-efficient Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies to expand distribution and grow market share
  • Oversee distributor performance, ensuring strong execution in merchandising, availability, and in-store excellence
  • Lead trade promotions, pricing implementation, and trade investment management for optimal ROI
  • Strengthen partnerships with distributor stakeholders and key trade accounts
  • Drive execution of category and channel development initiatives to increase market penetration and consumption
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, including both direct and indirect reports
  • Ensure alignment and execution of brand and trade marketing initiatives in the GT channel
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure adherence to budget and trade spend guideline

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; MBA is an advantage
  • 12+ years of FMCG sales experience, with strong exposure to General Trade
  • Proven experience managing distributors at a national level
  • Strong leadership experience managing large, multi-layered sales teams
  • Deep understanding of RTM, trade execution, and channel development
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing sales and trade investments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Willingness to travel as required
