Job Description

The Head for Commercial Operations will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational direction for the company's Retail Electricity Supply (RES) business and its participation in the Philippine electricity markets, including both the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) and the reserve (ancillary services) market
  • Lead key commercial initiatives such as portfolio migration, supply sourcing, customer acquisition and retention, generation asset commercialization, and market expansion across retail and wholesale trading activities.
  • Be accountable for delivering reliable, competitive, and sustainable electricity solutions while strengthening the organization's commercial capabilities to support the growth and scalability of the company's RES and market trading operations.
  • Support executive decision-making through portfolio analytics, market intelligence, commercial risk assessment, and strategic advisory on energy assets, WESM participation, reserve market opportunities, and industry developments.
  • Oversee commercial performance, contract management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement across both retail supply and wholesale market transactions, driving value creation and long-term growth for the company's integrated energy portfolio.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field; advanced studies is an advantage
  • Extensive experience in RES operations and retail electricity supply management.
  • Knowledge of WESM trading, power contracting, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and handle complex operational challenges in a regulated environment
