Job Description

  • Develop and implement the IT strategy to support the company's goals in the transport & distribution sector.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure and systems across all departments.
  • Manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with business priorities.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect company data and systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance operational performance.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and assess their potential for integration into the company's operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of IT should have:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in managing IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire a team of IT professionals.
  • Knowledge of the transport & distribution industry is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic IT plans effectively.
