Head of People and Culture

The Head of People and Culture will oversee all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, employee engagement, and organizational development. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing people strategies to support business goals and foster a positive workplace environment.
  • Shape the people agenda during a high-growth expansion phase
  • Drive culture and talent development with executive visibility

About Our Client

Our client is a startup in the hospitality and F&B industry that operates high-end Asian restaurants catering to discerning diners. As part of its strategic growth plan, the company aims to expand its footprint by launching multiple new branches and strengthening its presence in key markets.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Design and execute training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Lead performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in all HR practices.
  • Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs, including HMO coverage.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organisational culture.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of People and Culture should have:

  • 5+ years leading people, culture, or HR generalist functions, ideally in hospitality, restaurants, or another fast-growing, multi-site, frontline-heavy business
  • Demonstrated ability to build or scale a culture program through a real growth phase, not just maintain one in a stable company
  • Strong coaching and conflict-resolution skills - this role spends more time with people than with paperwork
  • Comfortable operating without deep compliance/labor law expertise, and disciplined about escalating to the Compliance Officer rather than guessing
  • Experience managing or mentoring frontline/shift-based teams is a strong plus

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • Permanent employment status and high potential career growth.
  • Onsite work setup based in BGC, with flexible time.
