Job Description

  • Identify and evaluate renewable energy opportunities across solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
  • Secure project sites, transmission access, and grid interconnection opportunities while initiating permitting activities.
  • Support commercial development efforts, including PPA origination and engagement with utilities, corporate off-takers, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and execution of renewable energy projects from origination through pre-construction.
  • Oversee land acquisition, rights-of-way, permitting, and regulatory approvals to ensure project readiness.
  • Manage external consultants, contractors, and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and development plans, monitoring progress and controlling costs.
  • Support team growth through talent identification, recruitment, and development.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in project development, business development, infrastructure, energy, or related sectors, with experience in large-scale capital projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, permitting, land acquisition, and stakeholder engagement processes.
  • Demonstrated success in advancing complex projects from opportunity assessment through development, approvals, and execution readiness.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams, external consultants, partners, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship-management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Self-driven and adaptable professional with the ability to thrive in dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced environments.
