Job Description

  • Review and analyze medical records for accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
  • Translate patient information into standardized medical codes for billing purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and changes in the healthcare industry.
  • Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and insurance claims issues.
  • Generate detailed reports to support accurate financial and clinical data.
  • Contribute to the improvement of coding processes and accuracy within the organization.

The Successful Applicant



A successful Medical Coder (In-Patient Diagnosis Related) should meet the following non-negotiable requirements:

  • Minimum of 24 full months of IDRG coding experience
  • Active medical coding license/certification: CCS, CIC, or CDIP
  • Must be willing to work fully on-site in BGC during the initial 4-month training and evaluation period
  • Must be able to successfully complete training and meet required performance metrics within the first four (4) months to qualify for a 100% remote set-up



Work Arrangement

  • Employees who successfully complete training and achieve performance targets may transition to a fully remote (100% WFH) arrangement after the initial four (4) months.
  • Post-WFH, onsite attendance may be required for:
    • Performance coaching and additional support if performance metrics are not being met
    • Quarterly town halls
    • Client visits and other business-critical onsite activities



Compensation & Benefits

  • Maximum salary budget: PHP 120,000 per month
  • Sign-on bonus: One (1) month basic salary + PHP 50,000


    • Receive a total sign-on bonus equivalent to one (1) month of basic salary plus PHP 50,000, payable in two installments:

      50% upon onboarding - released with the first payroll following completion of onboarding and submission of all required documents.
      50% after probation - released in the next available payroll upon successful completion of the 3-month probationary period and performance review.

      Retention Requirement: Employees must remain with the company for at least one (1) year from their start date. Otherwise, the sign-on bonus will be subject to repayment.
