Job Description

  • Design and implement observability solutions to monitor system performance and reliability.
  • Develop dashboards and alerts to provide visibility into system health and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance observability practices across the organization.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks using observability tools and techniques.
  • Maintain and upgrade observability platforms to ensure optimal functionality and scalability.
  • Provide guidance and training to teams on best practices in observability.
  • Document processes and configurations related to observability tools and systems.
  • Support incident response efforts by providing detailed insights into system behavior and anomalies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Observability Engineer should have:

  • A strong background in system monitoring and performance analysis within the technology industry.
  • Proficiency in observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and Cloud Platforms is a must.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages for automation and tool integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to ensuring system reliability.
  • Proficiency with Oracle is a plus.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
