Job Description

  • Manage ocean freight operations including planning, submission, and allocation based on forecasts and business requirements
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics processes.
  • Utilize shipment management systems to enhance visibility, accuracy, and collaboration across teams and partners
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to assess the efficiency of logistics operations.
  • Resolve any logistical issues to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on shipment statuses to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to improve processes and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all logistics operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Ocean Freight Specialist should have:

  • A strong background in logistics operations, particularly in ocean freight management.
  • Knowledge of the FMCG industry and its supply chain requirements.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools for tracking and reporting shipments.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
