Job Description

  • Manage, administer, and support enterprise Oracle database environments, including Oracle EBS R12.
  • Monitor, tune, and optimise database performance to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot complex Oracle EBS application and database issues across multiple business functions.
  • Perform database cloning, refresh activities, patching, workflow management, and concurrent processing support.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve monitoring, health checks, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain backup, replication, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Partner with application, infrastructure, and development teams on deployments and optimisation initiatives.
  • Enforce database security, governance, access controls, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, procedures, and operational records.
  • Participate in global on-call rotations and provide support during production incidents, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with international teams to ensure seamless follow-the-sun support coverage

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 8 years of experience in database administration within enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Database technologies, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Oracle 19c or later.
  • Extensive hands-on experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite environments.
  • Advanced SQL and PL/SQL scripting capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture, optimisation, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with database security, auditing, encryption, and access management.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while leading complex technical initiatives.
  • Experience with Oracle monitoring and diagnostic tools is advantageous.
  • Oracle certifications and exposure to Oracle BI, FCCS, Oracle WMS, ORDS, or Apex are highly desirable.
