The Principal Engineer will lead the design and development of advanced control systems for power electronics applications. Job Description

  • Analyze and define control requirements for AC-DC and DC-DC converter systems
  • Design and develop control architectures and firmware for advanced power electronics topologies
  • Develop and validate mathematical models and simulation frameworks for control systems
  • Implement control algorithms using model-based design tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink)
  • Conduct functional testing and validation of control strategies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve digital control-related issues, particularly in new product introduction (NPI) phases
  • Perform design reviews for hardware and firmware implementations
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting capability development within the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to develop and improve control solutions and system performance

The Successful Applicant

A successful Principal Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in power electronics or switch-mode power supply (SMPS) design
  • Strong expertise in simulation tools such as MATLAB, PLECS, PSIM, Simetrix/Simplis, or similar platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of control systems and mathematical modeling
