This is a senior mandate managing a portfolio of banks, non-bank FIs, financial institutions, and government authorities across the region. You will drive institutional relationship growth while serving as a key liaison between regional institutional business leadership and the local market.

Job Description

  • Manage an active portfolio consisting of Banks, Non-Bank Financial Institutions, FIs, and Government Authorities.
  • Strengthen existing institutional relationships and identify opportunities for deeper engagement.
  • Drive business development initiatives aligned with regional institutional banking strategy.
  • Act as a bridge between the regional Institutional Business team and local leadership.
  • Conduct end-to-end client engagement, credit discussions, and internal coordination for approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance standards and regulatory expectations across markets.
  • Prepare and deliver pitches, proposals, and periodic performance updates for stakeholders.
  • Support strategic initiatives and regional campaigns set by BOCHK Institutional Business.

The Successful Applicant

  • Must have direct banking experience (preferred from institutional banking, FIG coverage, FI relationship management).
  • Strong exposure to managing institutional clients such as FIs, NBFIs, banks, and/or government-linked entities.
  • Familiar with credit processes, onboarding, due diligence, and regulatory engagement.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with regional teams, navigate matrix reporting, and manage cross-border portfolios.
  • Strategic, proactive, and able to operate independently in a senior client-facing role.
