You will ensure that all technology initiatives align with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and the bank's digital transformation goals.

Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance & Compliance

  • Develop and implement IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO/IEC 38500) tailored to the banking sector.
  • Ensure compliance with BSP regulations, data privacy laws (e.g., Data Privacy Act of 2012), and international standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
  • Lead internal and external IT audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and controls.



Technology Management

  • Oversee IT performance management, including KPIs, SLAs, and operational dashboards.
  • Manage the IT budget, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT service delivery, infrastructure reliability, and system resilience.
  • Support the CTO in strategic planning, resource allocation, and organizational design.



Risk & Security Oversight

  • Collaborate with the CISO and Risk teams to manage technology-related risks, including cybersecurity, third-party risk, and operational resilience.
  • Lead risk assessments and business continuity planning for technology functions.



Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT governance, compliance, and operations professionals.
  • Act as a key liaison between Technology, Risk, Legal, Audit, and Business Units.
  • Present governance and risk updates to senior leadership and the Board, as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Tech Governance & Management Head should have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technology governance and management.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Proven experience working with regulatory bodies such as BSP, SEC, or NPC.

  • Built or scaled a governance or compliance team from the ground up.
