The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll processes across multiple countries within Oceania region.

Job Description

  • Execute payroll processes and ensure timely, accurate payments.
  • Maintain and update local payroll and time management systems.
  • Manage income tax-related matters and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers and oversee time and attendance systems.
  • Ensure accurate payroll accounting and approve invoices from external vendors.
  • Administer expatriate payroll in line with global mobility guidelines, ensuring correct tax and social security applications.
  • Handle payments, reports, and requests from external labor authorities (e.g., tax offices, social security, labor ministries).
  • Manage employee benefits and welfare programs, including insurance and medical claims.
  • Generate reports and support audits as needed.
  • Respond to employee queries via a ticketing system and maintain a knowledge base of FAQs.
  • Guide employees and managers to self-service HR resources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely master data in relevant HR systems.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, HR practices, and taxation principles.
  • Experience handling payroll in a regional or multi-country context, particularly in Oceania.
  • Proficient in data management and analysis.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite per week)
