Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing market potential, trends, opportunities, and competitive activity across categories.
  • Setting sales targets, preparing sales reports, performing sales analysis, and supporting budgeting activities.
  • Driving both account maintenance and new business development by building a strong project pipeline.
  • Providing regular updates on business performance and market observations.
  • Collaborating with product management teams on market intelligence and research initiatives.
  • Preparing and implementing sales and development plans to support commercial objectives.
  • Working with technical teams to support promotional activities, seminars, trade shows, and customer visits.
  • Leading product launches and supporting adoption of new solutions in the local market.
  • Recommending initiatives aligned with local customer needs and market dynamics.
  • Coordinating forecasts and orders with internal teams, distributors, and customers.
  • Managing customer claims with quality, logistics, and customer service departments.
  • Monitoring receivables and ensuring timely payment collection.
  • Expanding and managing the distribution network and conducting regular distributor meetings.
  • Organizing technical training sessions for distributors and customers to enhance product knowledge and capability.

The Successful Applicant

A strong Technical Sales Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical applications within the food industry.
  • Strong connections with local food manufacturers and familiarity with B2B food ingredient markets.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong customer orientation with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work effectively in cross‑functional environments.
  • A proactive, growth‑oriented mindset, with flexibility and openness to new challenges.
  • Passion for the food and beverage industry, with curiosity, agility, and strong teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
